Chelsea Sobien

Chelsea Sobien joined CGIT as a Research Associate in 2021 after previously working as a Geocoder on the Virginia DMV Crash Geolocation project from 2013 to 2018. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science from Radford University, a Master of Environmental Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Graduate Certificate in Geospatial Programming and Web Map Development from Pennsylvania State University in Spring 2022. Chelsea has 3 years of experience working on geospatial projects in civil engineering firms. Chelsea’s professional interests include cartography, database design, and spatial storytelling through interactive web applications.
