Joseph Newman

Joe Newman joined CGIT in October of 2011 as a project assistant, he became a project associate in February of 2013. Joe has a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Virginia Tech. His main interests include spatially enabled automated reporting, 3D visualization and analysis, weather forecasting, high performance computing, and developing geoprocessing solutions for complex spatial problems. During his time at CGIT, he has been involved with developing and managing a vehicle crash geolocating project with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, creating radio frequency propagation tools, broadband policy reporting tools, vineyards site assessment services, and much more.
