Jake Schwartz

Jake Schwartz joined CGIT in June 2026 as a research associate. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science on the Quantitative Energy Systems track and a Master of Science in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At CGIT, Jake develops web applications that support Virginia crash and roadway-safety analysis, with a focus on interactive data tools and reusable application components. His broader experience includes geospatial data analysis, data quality and validation, web development, energy project siting, and regulatory research. His professional interests include building geospatial applications for project siting decision-making and energy infrastructure development.
