CGIT’s Vineyards Team heads to the Big Apple for a presentation at the Association of American Geographers’ Annual Meeting
February 24, 2012. CGIT’s Peter Sforza, Thomas Dickerson, and Erica Adams headed to New York City, NY this week to present progress on a project funded by USDA-SCRI, which calls for developing a public web application that incorporates climactic, topographic, and edaphic data layers into a GIS-based vineyard suitability tool. They will be presenting to various academic professionals and students as well as co-PIs from Cornell, Ohio State, NC State, and Penn State. The results of this project may represent a huge step forward in innovation on a regional scale in the field of viticulture. More information on this project can be found here.
